Empowering Women Through Art
The Youth Alliance for Peace & Development (YAPD), in collaboration with the District Youth Office Nowshera, implemented a creative community project at Nowshera Kalan Police Station to promote ownership, dignity, and inclusivity for women.
Project Overview
The project invited young women to contribute creative design ideas for the Female Facilitation Desk, using art as a tool for empowerment and positive institutional change.
Art Competition
- Malishba selected as the winner for her outstanding design.
- Awarded PKR 3,000 and a certificate of appreciation.
- Winning artwork implemented in the final decoration.
Activity & Inauguration
- Included handmade awareness charts and informative banners.
- Inaugurated by SHO Mr. Amjid Khan (Chief Guest) and SDPO Nowshera Kalan.
Key Impact
- Created a welcoming and supportive environment for women.
- Strengthened trust between the community and law enforcement.
- Provided a platform for young female talent.
Climate Change Awareness, Adaptation & Mitigation Project
Districts: Charsadda & Nowshera
Youth Alliance for Peace & Development (YAPD), in partnership with the District Education Office, successfully implemented climate action sessions across more than 30 government higher secondary schools and madaris. This initiative equips students with practical knowledge to understand climate risks and adopt sustainable practices.
- Key Focus: Climate change awareness, mitigation, and adaptation strategies with student-centered interactive discussions.
- Hands-On Learning: Practical activities and demonstrations at Government Higher Secondary School Zakhi, Nowshera, connecting theory with real-world action.
- Impact: Reached youth in all 30 higher secondary schools and madaris to ensure inclusive education and strengthen local leadership.
- Goal: Building an eco-conscious and climate-resilient youth community and promoting environmental responsibility.
Household Waste Management
In collaboration with the Pakistan Red Crescent Society and German Red Cross, we are introducing sustainable solutions.
- Distribution of household compost bins.
- Converting kitchen waste into organic fertilizer.
- Creating a cleaner, greener future.
